Jeremy was previously a partner with Kluttz, Reamer, Hayes, Randolph, Adkins & Carter LLP from 2006 to 2018. In 2018, he helped establish Adkins Carter, P.A., where he continued practicing until his former partner was elected as a Superior Court Judge for Rowan County. The firm then became Carter Law Group, P.A., where Jeremy continues to serve clients throughout Rowan County.

Jeremy has been married to his wife, Jennifer Carter, for 31 years, and they have 2 children. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys home improvement projects and giving back to the community. He also volunteers with the China Grove First Baptist Men on home improvement projects for elderly members of the community, as well as with Habitat for Humanity.
